Stayed overnight here and met family members staying before a wedding. Beautiful place to stay, even in the remote location. Staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Had Sunday lunch today. Staff, cleanliness, and service were good. The roast beef was a big negative as it was chewy and rare. This should be communicated to diners.

Had two enjoyable nights at a charming location. Interesting old building, well-maintained. Rooms were basic but clean with all necessary facilities. Food was excellent, but portions were too large. Attentive staff made us feel welcome.

Living nearby, The Old Lodge is my go-to spot for relaxing with good food and company. Recently, I was the photographer for a wedding there and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The staff were fantastic, the food was amazing, and the surroundings made it a special day. The interior decor was beautiful, and the pub gardens were stunning, especially during golden hour. The wedding ceremony under the pagoda was superb due to the beautiful weather. The rooms were cozy and gorgeous, especially the bridal suite with a four-poster bed and stunning views. I look forward to photographing more weddings at this lovely venue.
